VOLUNTEERS NEEDED CAN YOU HELP!!
We are in need of a secretary for next year – to make the transition easier if we could get someone NOW they could “learn the ropes” let us know if you’re interested.

Thank you to all of the UNSOLD DISCOUNT CARD HOLDERS that returned money or cards. We still have a few out so if you can get them in that would be great. Thanks!!
Mary Poppins tickets have sold very well we have two buses going to NYC. If anyone else is still interested in going let the band directors immediately.
Mr. Shaut is beginning to get things together for the Kingston School Jazz Invitational that will be taking place on April 17. A professional 17 piece jazz band will work with the students during the day and then they will do a concert in the evening. We are going to start seeing if we can get some donations. We will be serving lunch and snacks. We will be advertising the show. Admission will be $5 for students and seniors and $10 for general public. Students that attend the Invitational will not have to purchase a ticket. The Invitational will be opened up to bands in the area and right now Mr.Shaut is starting to get the word out.
We are still looking for donations for the 3 theme baskets that will be raffled at the Spring concert on May 13. If you have any ideas/donations for the baskets contact Enrica Firenza at rickydoodles13@yahoo.com.
If anyone has any photos that were taken during either the Winter Concert or the Barnes and Noble concert please email them to me. We would like to update the website with new photos.
Mr. Shaut is working at getting the CD’s that could be used in the library. The snare drum stand purchase is still in the works. Chamber music is almost ready to be purchased a list of the titles needed is being organized.
Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 2.
The meetings are held in the Band Room 204. You can enter through Entrance F at the lower parking lot of the J.W. Bailey building.

Band Requirements: No more than three unexcused absences, an unexcused missed performance, nine excused absences; and any general disruptions of rehearsals will result in the student not being able to participate in school trips. Every member must practice and must work to improve every day.
