We are in need of a SECRETARY for next year – to make the transition easier if we could get someone NOW they could “learn the ropes” let us know if you’re interested.

Make sure you check with your Band Member for the time they need to be at NYSMMA. The event takes place this Friday and Saturday (May 7-8) at the high school. They need to show up at least a half hour before their time.
Our Spring Concert is Thursday, May 13th the times are listed below.
Sixth grade - 6:35 Seventh grade - 6:30 Eighth grade - 6:15
The practices for the Marching Band as they get ready for the Memorial Day Parades are listed below:
May 19 - 3:00-5:00 May 24 -6:00-8:00 May 26 - 3:00-5:00 **5:00-6:30 PICNIC
We are planning the End of the Year/NYSMMA Awards Picnic for Band Members and their families so mark your calendars. The picnic is scheduled for May 26th from 5:00-6:30 in the cafeteria. Look for a sign up form with a Marching Band permission slip and Picnic RSVP in the concert program. Come and join us for our end of the year celebration. Make sure to send back your RSVP!! If you have any questions or problems just email me. We need to have a final count by May 14.
We’ll be serving subs, salads, soda, water and we’re requesting that each family bring a dessert.
The times for the Memorial Day parades on May 31 are as follows: Hurley Parade line up is at 9:15 at the Hurley Mission and the Kingston Parade line up is 1:15 at the high school bus turn around.
We are still looking for someone who could drive their van/SUV on Memorial Day following the band with water and be available for any type of assistance. Contact us if you can help!!!!!
Look for a permission slip for the Six Flags New England trip on June 12 coming home in late May.
Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 1. The meetings are held in the Band Room 204. You can enter through Entrance F at the lower parking lot of the J.W. Bailey building.

Band Requirements: No more than three unexcused absences, an unexcused missed performance, nine excused absences; and any general disruptions of rehearsals will result in the student not being able to participate in school trips. Every member must practice and must work to improve every day. |
